In hopes of better educating visitors on the history and impact of oil in Pennsylvania, the Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry in Oil City unveiled its new exhibit, "Black Gold or Black Magic," on Sunday. During a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by those involved with the exhibit, Catherine Teig, president of the museum's board of directors, said it will help people to appreciate the rich, local heritage of Oil City. "We needed an exhibit that would have an appeal to the general public, not just Oil City residents," she said. |
