gets $100,000 for tornado cleanup costs After waiting nearly seven months, Clark has received a $100,000 grant from the state Department of Community and Economic Development to help with cleanup of the Nov. 10 tornado. Mayor Douglas Bradley said the borough applied for $140,000 about two weeks after the storm. "We know it will be used for cleanup," Bradley said. "But there are a couple other items we'd like to put into that." Those other items, Bradley said, include repairing damaged roads, berms and ditches; replacing lost signs; and helping offset bills owed to other municipalities for post-tornado assistance. Bradley said the grant is earmarked for cleanup, but he hopes to get approval to cover anay tornado-related expense. |
