Minor glitches delay
plans for new cemetery

Plans for a new cemetery in Brookfield are moving forward after some minor glitches, Jaime Fredenburg, road department manager, said at Monday night's trustees meeting.

Fredenburg said two entities submitted bids to clear timber from the land, both of which were rejected by trustees on May 21 because they were incomplete.

The 13 acres for the cemetery were donated by the Strimbu family, which owns and operates Strimbu Trucking. The land is along Route 82, just west of the township administration building.
