for sewer funding Herald Staff Writer
More than 75 percent of Brookfield's West Hill residents are classified as having low to moderate incomes. While that may not be great news, it does mean the neighborhood qualifies for Community Development Block Grant funding of a state-mandated sanitary sewer system. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Trumbull County Health Department found nuisances in West Hill ditches and sewage running downhill into Sharon, so the neighborhood has been designated as one of 18 areas in the county that must get sewers. |
