A former Sharon man is going to spend time in the state penitentiary for assaulting two women last fall.

Michael Leon "Rockhead" Crawford, 21, Mercer County Jail, was sentenced Thursday by Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Thomas R. Dobson to 30 months to 10 years in prison for aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. He was also given a concurrent sentence of 1 to 2 years in prison for a separate case of simple assault.

Crawford was given credit for 254 days already served in Mercer County Jail.
