restore its new home

A bank, a father and his son whose lives were closely woven into the fabric of Greenville helped create a new home Thursday for Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce.

First National Bank of Pennsylvania and its chairman, Peter Mortensen, each donated $12,500 to restore the chamber's new building in downtown Greenville. When the $125,000 project is completed in July, the building at 182 Main St. will be called the Norman P. Mortensen Building in honor of Peter's late father who was the longtime president of First National Bank.

Founded in Greenville in 1864, First National has steadily grown over the years to become a $4.4 billion community bank, Mortensen noted in a presentation ceremony at Greenville Country Club.
