Amanda Jones received a nice bonus to go along with the diploma she will get this morning.

As Greenville High School's top grad, she is this year's winner of the coveted T.C. Gibson Award. Although the cash award -- $3,639 this year -- is unrestricted, she plans to use the money for college.

"My mom and dad were really glad I got into a good school, but they weren't so happy about the tuition bill," said Amanda, who plans to attend Duke University in Durham, N.C.
