A New Castle woman has been sentenced to 135 months in state prison on two convictions of violating federal narcotics laws, U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan said in a news release Thursday. U.S. District Judge Gary L. Lancaster imposed the sentence on Inez Mercer Lindsey, 50, formerly of 606 Raymond Ave. According to information presented to the court: The sister of co-defendant Roy Mercer, who last week was sentenced to 30 years for his part in a cocaine ring, served as his conduit for money and cocaine in New Castle. |
