proficiency standards By Joe Pinchot Herald Staff Writer
Hermitage School District is well on its way to meeting federal standards set under the No Child Left Behind legislation if new test scores are any indication. School officials reviewed the Terra Nova standardized test scores Monday that showed students in grades 2, 4, 6 and 7 exceeding average scores in all subjects for which the tests are administered, including math, reading and vocabulary. Carol Gurrera, director of administrative services, compared the scores with the federal No Child Left Behind 2003 benchmarks in reading and math. |
