Weather puts damper on activity

By Monica Puhak

The recent cool, rainy weather has put a hold on activities and businesses that rely on warmth and sunshine to operate at their best.

With water temperatures about a cool 60 to 70 degrees, employees at outdoor swimming facilities have noticed a decrease, or even absence of, attendance compared to previous years.

"My season-pass sales weren't very good at all," said Melissa Koch, manager of Chestnut Run Swim Beach in South Pymatuning Township.
