Sharpsville council won't be using a consulting firm, at least not in the next 30 days, to help it decide the future of the borough's water-treatment plant,

A motion to hire Resource Development and Management Inc. of Forest Hills, Pa., was tabled Wednesday.

RDM, which specializes in utility management, would have been charged to analyze five options and then present a recommendation to council within 60 days. The cost to the borough would have been $9,700.
