Strawberries won't be the only sweet treat that will be offered during Grove City's Strawberry Days 2003 festival this week. Musical guests will also offer a wide variety of tastes for the ears as well.

"We run the gamut from light metal for the younger people to the AARP Kitchen Band, who has everything from a washboard to a kazoo," said Mary Kay Mattocks, co-chair of the festival with Todd Wood. "If it doesn't suit you one place, come back and it will suit you another night. It's free entertainment."

Though bands from outside the area, such as Earthquakers and oldies band The Dorals, who perform tonight, will take part in the festival, Mrs. Mattocks said she and the festival committee wanted to be sure that local musicians also were involved.

"We're trying to bring a little bit more of a local flavor to the festival, a little more of that hometown feeling," she said.
