Herald Staff Writer Yolanda Kitt, 27, of Sharon rests comfortably in a chair, her 8-months-pregnant belly shielded by her white graduation gown. She giggles, saying her only fear is falling down when she goes to the podium to accept her certificate. "I feel good," she says, smiling. "It took a long time but I finally made it." Thursday was a special day for Ms. Kitt and 23 other men and women who completed Mercer County's General Educational Development programs. They were honored at a recognition ceremony in St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon. |
