sewer system sleuths Hermitage's new I&I crew hasn't turned up any major problems with the city's sanitary sewer system, but is generating a lot of important documentation, said Tom Darby, water pollution control plant superintendent. The city had to create a crew to check for infiltration and inflow under a consent order signed with the state Department of Environmental Protection. The crew is working in the Highland Road area west of Buhl Farm Drive, but eventually will pop all 3,000 of the city's manholes. |
