Yelle may be fairly new at his job on the Sharon police force but that didn't stop him from bringing home medals from the 2003 Ohio Police and Fire Games.

Yelle, an 85-pound German shepherd, and K-9 officer Jeff Brown competed Sunday and Monday in the annual games that were held in Trumbull County.

Yelle and Brown have been working together for eight months. Most of the dogs in the competition had between six and eight years of working experience, Brown said.
