After lengthy discussion, debate and questioning, not enough Jamestown school directors could agree on a budget for the upcoming year for the measure to pass.

A $6.6 million budget proposal was tentatively approved by the school board May 5. It called for a 2.4-mill property tax increase in Mercer County.
