A woman convicted in the 1988 kidnapping and murder of a Thiel College graduate will serve out her full prison sentence, an Ohio parole board decided Tuesday.

Linda Karlen, 50, formerly of Sharon and Hempfield Township, is serving a 15-year sentence in the Ohio Women's Reformatory in Marysville for conspiracy to kidnap Roger "Butch" Pratt of Munhall, Pa.

Miss Karlen, who was previously denied parole in the case, made another bid under a December state court ruling that requires all offenders imprisoned before 1998 to have a new parole hearing due to disparities in guidelines used by the parole board.
