Students at Sharon High School will have a new, part-time principal next year, but he won't be a stranger to many of the staff and students.

John Vannoy, 37, Sharon, was hired for the position Wednesday.

Vannoy said he has worked in the district for 10 years. He started out as a social studies teacher, worked last year as a temporary assistant principal for the middle and high schools and will retain his position as athletic director.
