Garage and yard sales come in all shapes and sizes, and Tammy Cozadd of Pulaski is no stranger to hitting up a few to find the best deals.

"I try to go to them a lot," Mrs. Cozadd said. "I grew up on yard sales."

She and her husband Doug bought some floor lamps from a sale at the home of Lori McKnight on Charles Street in Clark. Ms. McKnight was participating in the borough's annual yard sale on June 7.

Mrs. Cozadd shops for items that match the decor of her home. Her husband often tags along and has found a few deals of his own. He once paid $40 for a lawnmower in good shape that was originally sold for $300.

If an item seems to be priced too high, Mrs. Cozadd said, the sellers will usually lower it if asked.
