show off their talents By Patrecka F. Adams Herald Staff Writer Greg Ferree of Conneaut Lake made his dog, Ro, jump through hoops and play dead before sending him to the corner, saying he'd been a "bad dog." But Ro wasn't participating in an obedience class for uncontrollable pooches. The 7-year-old Jack Russell Terrier was a canine competitor in the "People and their Amazing Animals" talent search. The contest, sponsored by Purina Mills, began at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pringle Supply Equipment, 29 Franklin St., Greenville. This was the first year Pringle's hosted the competition. The animals were judged in three categories: talent, cutest, and animal/owner look-alike. Nine canines entered this year's contest. |
