of charges filed against driver By Sherris Moreira-Byers Herald Staff Writer
A Franklin man police say rammed a Camaro carrying three pot plants into a police cruiser while trying to get away will face a variety of charges in Mercer County Common Pleas Court. John A. Crawford, Jr., 27, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, fleeing and eluding, driving under suspension, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without a valid inspection, driving a vehicle without insurance, reckless driving, careless driving, receiving stolen property, and possession with intent to deliver for an incident that occurred June 18 on Crystal Springs Road in Mill Creek Township. All the charges were held to court Wednesday by District Justice Lawrence T. Silvis, Worth Township. Police said they attempted to pull Crawford's car over after they heard his car, which they suspected had no exhaust system, and saw it had no inspection sticker. |
