By Patrecka F. Adams Herald Staff Writer Robert Villers said because recycling is so important to the environment, he doesn't want to see any county receptacles removed. But Villers, director of Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District, said that's exactly what may happen if some residents continue to misuse the sites. "We don't want to lose the recycling program, but we've got to do something about the problem that exists," he said. The problem, Villers said, is contamination. He said that illegal dumping of nonrecyclables such as tires, children's swimming pools, vinyl siding, window glass and propane tanks, has polluted some sites throughout the district. |
