Attorneys worked out a deal that allowed abuse-of-a-corpse and conspiracy charges filed against Emce A. Jones to proceed to court. Jones, 41, of 1445 Parke Drive, Hermitage, was charged with dumping the body of Mark A. McNulty, 40, of 547 Lafayette Ave., Sharon, after McNulty died in Jones' apartment. At a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Jones' court-appointed attorney, Randall Hetrick, agreed that, if witnesses were called, prosecutors could show that a crime occurred and Jones might have been involved. District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, held the charges for court. Assistant District Attorney Robert Kochems said he agreed not to prosecute Jones on an unfiled drug charge related to the case, and Jones agreed not to appeal his eviction from Shenango Park Apartments. |
