on tornado-relief funds By Jeff Greenburg Herald Staff Writer In the wake of damage, both physical and emotional, inflicted by a deadly tornado, a few hundred, or even a few thousand, dollars might not seem like much to some people. But those who found themselves in the path of the twister Nov. 10 in Clark and South Pymatuning Township would probably tell you every little bit helps. As of Tuesday, nearly seven dozen families in those communities had received some type of financial assistance from the Tornado Relief Fund Committee, which was created to direct the disbursement of $92,750 that was donated to the victims of the tornado. The tornado killed Charles Templeton, 81, of Clark and injured nearly 20 others, while leveling a dozen homes and leaving almost 100 more damaged in Clark, South Pymatuning and some nearby communities. Lawyer Wil White, a Clark resident and chairman of the committee, Tuesday night updated Clark council and Mayor Douglas Bradley on the fund's status. |
