It had been nearly three weeks since Micaela King, 7, had seen her dad, Tech Sgt. Craig King.

Sgt. King, 33, of 2552 Mercer-Butler Pike, Grove City, was among 40 reservists from the 910th Airlift Wing at Youngs-town Air Reserve Station who returned home Thursday from Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

And what was the first thing Micaela told her dad after not seeing him for all that time?

"I told him we got a new kitty," said Micaela, noting the kitty's name is "Baby Star," moments after she, her 5-year-old brother Jerrett and mom Julie enjoyed a very emotional reunion with their dad and husband.

"I'm glad to be home," Sgt. King said. "It was great seeing the family and all the support we had."
