As power being restored, 1,800 left in the dark

Just when almost everyone in Mercer County had power, another storm came along Sunday afternoon and knocked out power to many areas of the county.

The July 4 storm left as many as 8,500 county residents without power. As of Saturday night, 1,400 people were still in the dark.

By Sunday afternoon there were only about 50 customers still without power, Randal J. Coleman, area manager for Pennsylvania Power Co. said.
