Owners of buildings in Greenville that are protected by private alarm systems could find themselves paying fines for repeat false alarms. Tuesday, borough council adopted a false alarm ordinance and made it effective immediately. Greenville firefighters responded to more than 100 alarm calls last year, said Fire Chief Steve Thompson. Of those, 70 were to Thiel College and 20 were to UPMC Horizon's hospital. |
