A Grove City woman who claimed her son was sexually abused by his grandfather and went into hiding to keep the boy away from him could have another reason to stay hidden after a recent ruling by Mercer County Judge Michael Wherry.

Wherry on Wednesday ordered the boy be placed in foster care until competing custody claims and the sexual abuse allegations can be sorted out.

Bertha Wright, 22, whose last known address was 949 N. Broad St. Ext., Grove City, sought a protection from abuse order last year to keep her 3- year-old son away from his pa- ternal grandparents, who have residences in Boyers, Butler County, and Ambridge, Pa., ac- cording to court documents filed in Mercer County.
