Power should be restored by now

Mercer County residents who have been without power for days are slowly but surely being brought back to the world of those with electricity. And most, if not all, should have been back online early this morning, according to Bart Spagnola.

Spagnola, Pennsylvania Power Co.'s area manager for New Castle and Cranberry Township, Butler County, is temporarily filling in for the utility's local manager Randy Coleman. Spagnola said as of 8:30 p.m. Thursday, about 120 customers in the county were still without power.

He expected the "bulk of them" would be back online before dark and, barring unforseen circumstances, he said other isolated areas should have been connected about midnight or shortly thereafter.
