that make up college mural By Patrecka F. Adams Herald Staff Writer Award-winning nature artist Ron Donoughe worked carefully and deliberately, as he drilled nails into tiny holes on both sides of the rectangular paintings. Working in tandem with his friend Paul Herron, Donoughe made sure each piece was perfectly aligned onto the 17-by-10-foot fabric background before mounting it in place. Donoughe, who hails from Pittsburgh, along with help from Herron, installed 104 of the 9-by-12-inch landscape paintings Thursday morning in the Witherspoon Room at the Andrew J. McKelvey Student Center, Westminster College, New Wilmington. All of Donoughe's pieces depict some aspect of the 151-year-old campus landscape and surrounding areas. |
