Shove costs borough man nearly $4,000

One shove cost a Grove City man almost $4,000 when the man he shoved went through a church's stained-glass window.

Larry R. "Slurp" Priester Jr., 19, of 17è S. Broad St., pleaded guilty July 2 to disorderly conduct for shoving a Grove City man through a stained-glass window at Tower Presbyterian Church, 248 S. Broad St., on June 20.

District Justice Lawrence T. Silvis, Worth Township, ordered Priester to pay restitution of $3,650 to the church for the window and $143 in court costs. He also was put on a year's probation.

A charge of criminal mischief was withdrawn.
