Sharon residents are being urged to watch for suspicious people in their neighborhoods in the wake of three daytime burglaries in the last several days.

The latest burglary happened between 2 and 3 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Spruce Avenue, police said. The resident was in the back yard when a thief entered the house and stole a diamond ring and an undisclosed amount of cash from a bedroom, police said.

Between 2 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday someone broke into a home in the 300 block of Sherman Avenue while one resident was in the basement and the other was working in the back yard, police said. The thief sliced through the screen door and stole a small amount of cash, a silver Benrus men's wristwatch, a diamond and sapphire bracelet and a gold and silver bracelet, police said.
