Severe flooding and property damage in many parts of Lawrence County from Sunday's storms prompted Pulaski Township supervisors and county commissioners to declare a disaster emergency Wednesday. Township supervisors are urging property owners to contact their insurance providers to determine insurance coverage, obtain a damage assessment and report that information in writing to the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency or the Pulaski Township Municipal Building. Only uninsured losses should be submitted, since this information is necessary for the township to apply for emergency funds. For additional information, contact the emergency management agency at 724-658-5176 or the township office at 724-964-8891. |
