Kelly Miller Circus, an "old style" circus, rolls into town Monday at Lackawannock Township Park on state Route 318 behind the municipal building. The show originated in 1938 by Obert Miller and his sons, Kelly and Dores. The first shows were little more than the Millers and some ponies and monkeys. These days, the show features international circus performers, clowns and performing elephants and horses. Starring this year are aerialist Miss Esmerelda, Laura Harriott's dog and pony revue, and the acrobatic Perez and Fernandis families. |
