HERMITAGE -- A plan for senior housing on Lamor Road in Hermitage was tentatively approved Tuesday night by Hermitage commissioners.

The project, bankrolled by the Mercer County Housing Authority, will be built at North Keel Ridge and Lamor roads. It will house 60 seniors.

A representative of the project's engineers, Winslow Engineering, said the retention pond was designed to correct some potential water drainage problems. The retention pond will be built behind the proposed senior housing complex and will have landscaping around it to prevent people from getting too close.

The project will receive commissioners final consideration Aug. 27.
