of latest daytime burglary

Sharon has been hit with the fourth daytime burglary in a week.

Someone broke into a home in the 400 block of Cedar Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. A bracelet and a ring were stolen, police said.

The resident told police that as she was going into her garage she saw and talked to a man who was walking by and then she got into her car and left.

The resident told police the man was black, in his 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build and short hair.

The burglary is similar to three others in the area in which money and jewelry were stolen, police said.

Police urge residents to watch for suspicious people in their neighborhood and to call 911.
