for Superintendent Al Jones By Kristen Garrett Herald Staff Writer
West Middlesex Area School District Superintendent Al Jones will get a big retirement payment at the end of his current five-year contract. The six board members at a meeting Thursday -- President Thomas Hubert, Glen Allen Jr., Warden Burger, Arlene Repko and Dale Shrawder -- voted unanimously to approve a retirement agreement for Jones. Directors Kevin Kirk, Connie David and Walter Gelesky were absent. The district will owe Jones a total of $208,678 upon his retirement, board Solicitor John Reed said. As part of Jones' contract, he is entitled to payment for all unused sick days, vacation days and three personal days a year, Reed said. Jones has accumulated 452 1/2; unused sick days, Reed said. |
