A former Sharon man was sentenced Thursday to serve jail time and pay court costs in six separate cases.

Michael A. Redmond, 31, who's in Mercer County Jail, was sentenced by Mercer County Common Pleas Judge Thomas R. Dobson. On Wednesday, Redmond pleaded guilty to charges in five of the cases; in the other case, he was found guilty on June 17.

Redmond was ordered to pay costs only on a charge of defiant trespass filed by Hermitage police and a charge of receiving stolen property filed by Southwest Mercer County Regional police.
