Jessica Hunt, 20, has been showing horses for nearly half her life, and every year around this time, she busies herself getting ready for one big event.

This year, Miss Hunt will show a 15-month-old female yearling at the 56th annual Brookfield Saddle Club benefit horse show.

"It's definitely a lot of work, cleaning and preparing for the show," she said with a big smile.

Miss Hunt said she's looking forward to showing her Appaloosa named Two Eyed Candy because she's been training the yearling and "it's exciting to get out and see everyone else show."

This year's event is scheduled to be held from 9 a.m. to about 8 p.m. Sunday at the club's show grounds on Bedford Road Southeast in the township.
