Country
Market open house set

An open house for Jackson Meadows Country Market is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 68-A Limber Road.

The cooperative market, which will feature more than a dozen area vendors selling produce, baked goods and craft and gift items inside a former fish hatchery on Limber Road, will be open Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 6.

Some of the items for sale include hydroponic lettuce and tomatoes, pork products, baked goods, gourd bowls, candles and bath scents, cross-stitch items, jewelry, art prints, stonework and glassware.

A food vendor will be selling sweet Italian sausage sandwiches, fries, wings and breakfast items during the open house and market days, and the menu will gradually be expanded as the market grows.

The country market also will have a booth set up at the Stoneboro Fair, where people can sign up to win gift certificates to spend at the market.

To vend at the market or for other information, call (724) 699-9116.
