Grocery store plans end-of-summer community fun day

By Sherris Moreira-Byers

If you spot Elvis in Aisle 12 and two local school principals trying to scarf down hot dogs, you're probably at County Market outside Grove City in Pine Township.

Saturday, an "End-of-Summer Sale-Abration" will be held, and will include an Oreo-stacking contest, a hot dog-eating contest between the Mercer and Grove City school principals and some of their staff, visits by SpongeBob SquarePants and Elvis and a fireworks display by Zambelli's of New Castle.

And expect more of these events as store director Dave Knopp, Jr., 27, begins taking over more of the day-to-day operation of the grocery store that his family has owned since 1984.
