MCT hopes video takes it to the top

By Joe Pinchot

Somewhere between Matchbox 20 and Blink-182, you'll find MCT.

At this point, MCT is more of a concept than a band, but it has shot a video and is getting a smattering of radio air play.

Michael Chomos is the band's leader, artistic director and focal point, but, with the addition of drummer James Sloan, is inching closer to being a full-fledged band.

Chomos is a singer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and songwriter who has played with local bands such as the Hepcats, Eclipse and New Image and sat in with Grant Street Exit.

He recorded for the first time with Xing while at Bowling Green (Ohio) University, and found work as a session man in New York and Los Angeles, with luminaries such as Jewel and Sheryl Crow.
