for corrupting 15-year-old A Sharon man, who will spend 1 to 5 years in state prison for his guilty plea to corrupting a 15-year-old girl, was looking to the future at his sentencing Thursday. "I'm gonna do more than a year. Grant me my parole when my minimum is up," Kirk D. White, 30, of 370 Ormond Ave., told Mercer County Common Pleas Judge Michael J. Wherry. Wherry said he can only make a recommendation to the state parole board. "They are not bound by what I ask them," the judge said. "I have no power." White pleaded guilty July 14 to corruption of a minor and indecent exposure. He was ordered to pay court costs on both charges. |
