Woman accused of vehicular homicide turns herself in

A Hermitage woman charged with in the traffic death of Brandee M. Simpson turned herself in Tuesday morning at the office of District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage.

Susan A. Mendonca, 18, of 150 Todd Ave., was arraigned by Russo and released on her own recognizance. Her preliminary hearing was set for 4 p.m. Sept. 26.

Ms. Mendonca was charged Thursday with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and running the stop signs and the flashing red signal at Lamor and North Neshannock roads, where the crash occurred.
