outpacing spending By Amanda Smith-Teutsch Herald Staff Writer Revenues in Greenville have outpaced expenditures by about $300,000 so far this year, according to the cash-strapped borough's state-appointed Act 47 coordinator. Joseph Hohman reported to council Tuesday night that the borough had spent about $1.9 million so far this year, and had brought in more than $2.1 million in taxes and other revenues. The borough racked up a deficit of more than $1 million by spending more than it brought in beginning in the late 1990s. "Revenues are about 5 percent below budget," Hohman told council. |
