in collision of car, motorcycle A Volant man and two Pulaski men were taken to hospitals after a car-motorcycle crash at 10:41 p.m. Tuesday on state Route 208 in Wilmington Township, police said. According to police, Michael R. Bauder Jr., 23, of Volant RD 3, was speeding on a motorcycle traveling west on Route 208. The cycle struck an eastbound car driven by Timothy Sweesy, 19, of 766 Cheriwood Road, Pulaski, as Sweesy turned into a parking lot near the state Route 18 intersection, police said. Bauder, who was wearing a helmet, was flown to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, where he was in critical condition Wednesday, according to a hospital spokesperson. Sweesy and passenger Luke Patton, 18, of High Hill Road, Pulaski, who were not wearing seat belts, were treated at Jameson Hospital in New Castle, police said. |
