A former Farrell man will be jailed for 150 months for a federal conviction of selling crack cocaine.

Jonathan L. "Tin" Summers, 30, was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Court Judge Alan M. Bloch, Pittsburgh.

Summers has been detained since his June 9 guilty plea to possession with intent to distribute and distribution of crack cocaine; he was taken away to begin serving his jail term immediately after his sentence, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael A. Comber.

Bloch also ordered Summers to pay a $100 special assessment and to serve 5 years' supervised release after the prison term.

Summers, who had been living in New Castle before his detention, sold 26.7 grams -- a little less than an ounce -- of crack for $1,000 to a confidential informent Nov. 1 in the 500 block of Bond Street in Farrell, Comber said.
