The controversy over a sewage line extension is far from over in Stoneboro. While Fairgrounds Road residents again Wednesday voiced their objections to the proposed project that would run the line out their street, a Linden Street resident wanted to know when sewer service would be available in her neighborhood. Judy Truesdale said she'd like to have the line run past her home so she could hook in. "I think people down here need it," she said. William Kirk, the Fairgrounds Road homeowner who lives outside the borough but opposes the extension coming out the road, spoke for the group of borough residents who oppose the project. Kirk said he and his neighbors are "very badly confused about this project. Why is council so adamant about pursuing it?" |
