Four people have been arraigned on charges accusing them of stealing tattoo equipment and other items after breaking into Squirrelly's Skin Art Inc. at 218 S. Broad St. in August.

"It wasn't just stealing a bunch of stuff. It was stealing someone's livelihood," said D. Michael Kelly II, manager of the Grove City business, speaking about the theft of his property, which was not insured.

Arraigned before District Justice Lawrence Silvis were Shane J. Catrucco, 24, of 359 Connelly Blvd., Sharon; Shawn A. Mihordin, 19, of 12 Applewood Lane, Mercer; Lemuel "Lee" Pineiro-Malick, 21, of 2939 Tamarack Drive, South Pymatuning Township; and Crystal L. Vaughan, 19, of 324 Brandy Springs Apartments, Mercer.

All four suspects were charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and conspiracy. They were in Mercer County Jail Friday afternoon. Ms. Vaughan's bond was set at $5,000. Bond for the others was set at $10,000.

The break-in occurred between 8:20 p.m. Aug. 20 and 11:20 a.m. Aug. 21. Cash and items valued at more than $3,000 were taken, including almost $600, a pigment set, a tattoo machine and more than 200 compact discs in a case, police said, adding that the business was broken into through a back door.

Police have not said if any of the stolen goods were recovered.
