of corpse, corrupting minors By Amanda Smith-Teutsch Herald Staff Writer
A Reynolds man accused of dragging the body of an Ohio woman to an Andover cornfield and forcing two teenage boys to bury her corpse has pleaded guilty to several charges. Richard Dean Hodge, 44, of Reynolds Mobile Home Park, 38 W. 10th St., entered guilty pleas Tuesday to the felony charge of abuse of a corpse and two misdemeanor charges of corrupting minors. Hodge entered his pleas before Mercer County Common Pleas Judge Michael Wherry. He faces sentencing Oct. 10. By pleading guilty, Hodge agreed with prosecutors that enough evidence existed against him that he would probably be found guilty by a jury. According to earlier testimony: Hodge picked up Naomi Bright, 22, of New Lyme, at a bar in Andover on May 11 and took her back to his mobile home in Pymatuning Township, where the two used cocaine, witnesses said. |
